Acrylic painter. Explorer. Educator.
about.
Seeing the world through a textured lens and a never ending soundtrack, Kara Lynn Daviau is a visual artist currently exploring her passion in Central New York. Primarily working in acrylic, though surface may be considered collage with a variety of texture including sheet music and vintage book page pieces. Inspired by song, melodied and words evoke emotion and a connection to life experience. The lyrics, textures, and rhythm are mirrored visually in her works, while giving a new life and purpose to the forgotten spaces and landscapes of Central New York and beyond. Daviau also creates linear drawings, graphic design, and has painted a variety of murals locally.
Daviau received her Bachelor and Master degrees from the College of Visual & Performing Arts at Syracuse University, is co-owner of the artisan shop, Wildflowers Armory, and has a working studio in the suburbs of Syracuse, NY.
In addition to original paintings, she carries signed prints and art swag including signature beanies, art sweatshirts, totes, and tees.
